Slow Pony

Slow Pony is a practice in expressive Body Talk. We explore sensing and sensuality to slow jams and sad jams from a fiercely noncompetitive mindframe that is rooted in experimentation, playfulness, permission, and tender self-care. The container is 30-40 minutes long and consists of floorwork, no-impact dance aerobics, some choreography to follow or not follow, and 15 minutes of stretching at your own level. No equipment required, but you may find a mat, yoga blocks, a blanket or cushion to be supportive.

 

30 Min Pony Vid

This is the 30 minute container for the Pony Sweat practice, made monthly by Emilia and Michella. It contains songs from the previous month’s Mixtape and Bev routines, and includes our warm-up, isolations, lead-follow dance aerobics (Emilia leads, you don’t have to follow), and a brief cool-down of “going inside” and stretching. We hope you enjoy continuing to explore these songs, or dancing to them for the first time in this shorter format!

10min Fitness-Adjacent Pony

This is a short and fast Pony Sweat ritual to do when you don’t have a lot of time/willingness/space/capacity and want to connect and ground yourself in your body. The format is inspired by 10 min workout videos popular on the internet, but the spirit and intention is grounded in Fuck The Moves and Stay with Your Body Wherever Your Body Is At Today to songs we love.

Rewind!

Emilia teaches some all-time favorite Pony Sweat routines to the songs we wanna dance to over and over again! She breaks down some of the more complicated move-combinations and shares some fun facts about each song. Do 1 or more (each video is one song) for an at-home emotive dance break!
